2009
Workday
in Holly
Workday
2009 was AWESOME.
Holly Christmas in Action started out with two houses and ended
up with FOUR. Our largest number yet. We had over 200 volunteers
this year at our four locations
(also our largest number yet!).
Thanks to our team from Dee Cramer and a cast of other dedicated
volunteers who actually completed TWO houses in ONE DAY! What
an accomplishment. A big thanks to Brian McConnahaughey and
Cliff Page for all of their coordination of these two projects.
Special thanks to Pete Clemens who for the last two years seems
to have the last job of the night ...
putting in the toilet! Thanks Pete for being such a great sport
and a great help.
Pastor Ed Pedley and Steve Alverez captained the crew from
The Journey Church and had such a big job, planned a second
day to complete it. What a great team. Finally, Jim Clark and
Don Standridge captained the team on Fish Lake Road. This was
a total home make over for sure, from a new kitchen to a new
bathroom to an entirely painted exterior.

We are so happy in Holly to have completed our 18th House in
our six years of operation. Thanks to such a great board of
people dedicated to raising money, raising
volunteers and raising the spirits of our Seniors in need.
